What Our Campers Say...

Fantastically quiet adults only site with amazing views over the Forest of Dean with a gate on site straight into the forest. Facilities are very clean and good (including free washing machine and tumble drier). Site does feel a bit industrial upon arrival but this is due to a conference facility at the gates, no impact on camping. You have the option on the way you wish to pitch and the views over the forest are well worth looking at. A great site with good access to the rest of the Forest of Dean. We certainly plan on returning.C Bicker, June 2016

'We certainly plan on returning'

“Hidden Jewel” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2015 Just back from a long weekend at this campsite with our touring van. Wonderful site. Our pitch was a very generous size and even though the campsite was fairly full, we didn't feel overcrowded. The site was immaculate and the shower and toilet block was spotless. Incredible views out over the forest. Easy access to forest for dog walking, our Golden Retriever loved it! Staff we're lovely and friendly. No shop on site but local shop only a two minute drive away. If you are looking for a chilled, relaxed break then this is the campsite to choose. We can't wait to return and are already planning our next visit. Thank you Deanwood" Stayed July 2015

“Direct forest access, very very clean showers toilets, friendly staff, extremely well run quiet site” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 28 June 2015 Upon arrival the man at the check in desk could not have been more helpful. Pitched up (the camping sites are huge). Wonderful site, fantastic views and very, very clean toilet and shower facilities. Direct access for evening walks into the forest. No lager louts, no loud parties, fantastic for people who want to get away. There is even a free washing machine and tumble dryer and freezer in the washing up area! We had a fantastic weekend here and will definitely return, thank you so much Deanwood Holidays for getting it so right :)

“Campsite” 4 of 5 starsReviewed 28 June 2015 Lovely immaculately kept campsite, in a nice area. Close to a shop and a pub and cycle ways for the enthusiastic riders. The campsite is not too big and has nice areas for kids to play (note from Deanwood - from 2016 we are an adult only site). The facilities are nice and clean. Stayed June 2015

“Excellent campsite!” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 4 May 2015 We've just come back from a bank holiday weekend at this great site. Great location, close to lots of walking and cycling. The toilet blocks were the cleanest I've seen and the showers were free and hot. The owners were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back! Stayed May 2015

“Excellent campsite!”

We had a lovely couple of days at your campsite over the weekend, thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the view across the valley and being able to walk straight into the Forest through a gate. Thank you for your hospitality and the facilities were great.

My partner Mark and I stayed at Deanswood Caravan Park last Saturday 1st February and were very impressed with the site overall. The pitch allocated was clean and level and the shower block facilities were very clean with plenty of hot water available too. The site was relatively empty which suited us fine. We would certainly be happy to return to this site again during the winter months.

March 28th - 30th We are a retired couple First visit to this site, very impressed. One of the best sites we have stopped in. Amenities second to none very clean and modern, a credit to the owners. Miles of walks in the forest. Plenty of wildlife will go again. Owners very sociable
